So you didn't get tickets for Demitri Martin. Nevermind! Here are some more great comedy gigs to choose from this week.

Monday 11th October
The London Storytelling Festival Gala Show
@ Leicester Square Theatre

The closing London Storytelling Festival gig is going to be a star-studded affair, with a rare opportunity to see a new side of some of the UK (and world's) best-loved performers. Featuring Harry Shearer (The Simpsons, This is Spinal Tap!), political comic Mark Thomas, gifted storytelling comedian Phil Kay, Losing It star Judith Owen and award-winning NYC storyteller Martin Dockery, this is a highlight of the year for any story lover. Don't miss it.

Tuesday 12th October
Weirdos @ King's Cross Social Club

Undoubtedly one of the best free comedy gigs London has to offer, Weirdos encourages acts to do innovative material, while encouraging audiences to open their minds. This month's guests are hilarious absurdist comic Doctor Brown, the constantly surprising Nick Sun and Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year 2010 Tim Shisodia. Sleeping bag escapology, singing hoovers and aubergine races have all taken place so far, who knows what next. Arrive early to get a seat.

Sunday 16th October
Cariad Lloyd: Lady Cariad's Characters
@ Pleasance Theatre

Cariad Lloyd presents her 2011 Eddie nominated show, Lady Cariad's Characters, directed by Ben Wilson (Idiots of Ants). Introducing parkour expert Jacque le Cock; Andrew the 7 year-old stand up; Judith the happiest cult member and Cockney Sam with his dark songs of woe, this is delightful hour of superb and silly comic acting.
