Ginglik is a wicked venue. Unlike Public Life on the East side, they have managed to transform this old public loo into an intimate and inviting late night haunt for party-loving West Londoners.

They have an insanely eclectic taste - you'll get comedy nights, dubstep/techno mash ups, hedonistic 20's swing, showcases... the works!

Also, great organic cider at the bar, lots of odd board games and the occasional movie night.

Lovely pub in the heart of Kensal. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly bar staff and comfy seats. Loads of games, like backgammon and chess for the easily board. Always have good background music, usually funk or reggae - so all in all a nice place to hang out!

I love this place. It's always got a great atmosphere, especially for a west London venue. Some of their night like Sweet Memory Sound and YoYo are among the best in London.

Sometimes I wished it stayed open a little later, but I guess that's just a testament to how much fun it is.

I have mixed feelings about Alexandra Palace as a music venue. On the one hand, it's an amazing building with fantastic views over North London and has all the ingredients for being one of the coolest heavy-weight places to catch the next hot act.

On the other hand, every time I've been there the production has been terrible (for example Arcade Fire) and the main room has felt hollow - the consequence being that the atmosphere ends up pretty rubbish.

For me the juries out and I look forward to returning soon, hopefully to squash the last few experiences.

Every time I've been to Corsica Studios I have had an outrageously fun night. As Robin said, the Funktion One rig is immense - in my view the best in-house system in London, automatically propelling it to one of the best places to listen to electronic music.

With it's kind of makeshift bar and jagged layout most events have a house party feel and the crowd is usually friendly enough. If there's an artist you want to see then this is always a great, intimate place to catch them.

Went to Sweet Memory Sounds at the Notting Hill Arts Club a couple of weekends ago. I have to say that I had an awesome time. As usual DJ Derek played a great set - whipping out all of the classics to the delight of the crowd!

I always leave this night with a smile on my face - I think down to a winning combination of sweet sweet reggae music, good cocktails and a warm friendly vibe.
