Film taste: Midnight Run.
Music taste: I listen to bands that don't even exist yet.
Hangout: West is best.
Most likes (about London): Meeting people who have the chutzpah to insult you in a dryly entertaining fashion on five minutes acquaintance.
Least likes: Meeting people who think it's OK to talk about money.
Me in 10 words: Friends are the most important thing in life.

venue The Light Bar

I'm not rating the venue, I'm rating the editor who writes this up. We're definitely the best place on the internet to find out about this venue! Great work.
venue Hive

Love the Hive, very unpretentious, there's a horrible tendency to play funky house on Saturdays but the rest of the time there's a good breaks/hip hop music policy and big fat pints of beer.
By all accounts the restaurant downstairs is quite good, though it must be off-putting having drunks reeling back and forth on their way to dance

hey, this play is nowhere near as dark and disturbing as the film, it makes me wonder if it's Waters endorsed? There was a kind of upbeat message which I don't really remember from the film?

I don't rate the bar at all, although it does the job in an annoyingly frilly way. I love the description of "Alco Pop Girls that won't sit down" - where are your elbow patches Grandpa? This is the kind of thing I find on my travels round the site which makes me smile because of the brilliant and eccentric people who helped put it all together.
venue The Dolphin

I do love drinking at the Dolphin and I've also attended some wicked nights there. It's bordering on chaotic every time I go in, with music failures, booze shortages and near riotous gigs just some of the things you can expect, but the key is to arrive with low expectations. I've often gone there for nothing more than a pre-outing pint and ended up dragging in friends from all over London for a particularly good DJ.

What a legend. His Border Community nights at The End are the best regular nights in London. Well, the best regular tech/house nights. He's a top bloke as well and drinks in my local...

This venue has always been a cracker. It used to be the place for sweat drenched rock gigs and rolling rock beer getting warm in your hand while you struggled through the moshing crowd - back in the '90s. Now it's a packed techno tunnel most of the time. A Guy Called Gerald played the Lost Souls Sunday show the other day, that was incredible.
