Film taste: Dazed and Confused, Salo, Instrument

Music taste: is important

Hangout: sitting at the bus stop stealing your wi-fi

Most likes (about London): being able to drive for more than 15minutes without falling in the sea (He’s from Guernsey) and bands, bands, bands, on the corner, on the bus, jumping in front of the tube, hitting on your girlfriend, blocking up the bar…there’s just great bands everywhe

Least likes: the scourge of pay toilets.

Me in 10 words: intellectual pervert.

Having seen The Veils at The Great Escape and witnessing Liam Finn demand that everyone 'stomp this pier into the ocean' I'd have to say I am a little bit in love with The Veils at the moment. Finn is an enigmatic and out of time punk troubadour of a frontman backed by an incredible band.

Very simply one of the best bands I have heard this year. They make timeless folk music in the traditional sense. Their songs feel like they have been around for a million years. Vocally it's like having Cat Power and Nick Cave in the same band.. which is a personal aural wet dream. If you like any sort of folk, country, noir style music, even punk and you haven't heard Sparrow you are seriously missing out.
