venue Vegas Gallery Thursday, 02 October
The Vegas Gallery has a stable of bold and intriguing young artists, which means fascinating shows, Pascal Rousson's House of pain was a recent highlight. Worth a look for the funky bar and the interesting east london surrounds
venue Purple Turtle Wednesday, 01 October
The Purple Turtle is a lot less 'dive' than some of the pubs in Camden, a little tongue in cheek, a little rock n roll and with some pretty cheap drinks and an eclectic crowd it's always a fun night. One memorable gig saw the band dancing on the bar and a girl in non-existent lace up trousers jumping up and down to her own tune, which wasn't that of the bands, but still made for an awesome time
venue SaLon Gallery Wednesday, 01 October
A funky spot in West London which always has an interesting and colourful (if not a little pretentious) selection of art by up and comers. Worth a look if you love to marvel at and mock at the same time
