Drum&Bass Arena Awards 2010

Drum&Bass Arena Awards 2010

D&B Arena dish out this years accolades to the dnb's finest in the Clapham Grand on the second of December.

Drum and bass arenaFor the last 14 years the Risky's brainchild, Drum&Bass Arena, has been championing d'n'b like no other. One of the most recognisable brands on the scene, there's not much that they don't do. The site hosts one of the most popular online d'n'b forums in the world and sells thousands of MP3s and T-shirts every week. Somehow they also find time to put out mix CDs, organise epic club nights and broadcast pioneering D&BTV sessions across the internet.

As if this wasn't enough, they're the force behind the most well respected award ceremony in the d'n'b calender, the fittingly named Drum&Bass Arena Awards. Luckily for all present, this ain't no Brit awards, forget the black tie, civilised table service and polite clapping. It is here that the champions of the scene are honoured in the only way that seems right, with a massive party.

This year the spectacular Clapham Grand plays host to the ceremony and there couldn't be a more fitting place. An old converted theatre, it lends an air of occasion to the event, emphasizing the excitement felt by both nominees and observers.

Unsurprisingly some very special live acts and PA's have been signed up to help us have a proper party along the way. In any other situation, the words 'special guest' normally means that Barry the toilet cleaner has been drafted in because they can't find someone good to fill a slot. However, this is Drum&Bass Arena we're talking about, and considering the cream of the d'n'b community are present tonight, its unlikely that the guests will be anything less than exceptional.

The voting is over. The lines are now closed. It's time to get your ass to Clapham and reap the rewards of an entire year of speaker-blowing, high-speed broken beats.
