Laura Main

Laura Main, the intrepid hard house loving writer and DJ, we always knew as Lady Asbo. Her exploits on London dancefloors described in the articles you see here were devoured by masses. She was a pleasure to work with - a spirited person and a wonderful writer with a real passion for life, music and fun. Read her work and remember her.

Film taste: Walk the Line, Il Postino, Human Traffic

Music taste: Filthy hard house all the way – Paul Glazby, Karim, Marc Johnson, Paul Batten, Steve Maynard

Hangout: Filthy dance-floors, after-parties, in front of my decks, aerobics studios, watching Peep Show. Shops, shops and more shops, lurking on trackitdown.net

Most likes (about London): Carnaby Street, sleazy Soho, ready availability of Irn Bru and pretty men

Least likes: Hard House Haters, posh ya's, losing my mobile

Me in 10 words: If Jane Fonda could mix....

This man is a bespectacled genius! He is a shining example of the Scots best qualities rolled into one suited and booted package- cynical, sarcastic, f*cking hilarious and most importantly says the things everyone else is scared to!

I've visited Camden bohemoth 'Koko' on two occasions since moving to London - Heat's 6th birthday and Frantic's 11th! As well as the main space for dancing you get plenty of exercise climbing up to the top to look down on the DJ and hard-house gurners below.

Paul Glazby is quite simply a legend. Known as the dark destroyer, when you see his towering frame behind the decks you know you're in for a no nonsense session of filthy tuneage and tight-ass mixing. Not that I'm biased, but I have the Vicious Circle label symbol tattoo'd on my back. It's called love people.
