Best Alternative Halloween Parties

OK so. You're skin is flaking off in sheets, you have an open wound on your noggin and the guy holding your hand looks suspiciously like teen wolf.

Time to rock out at one of our tasty and terrifying alternative Halloween Parties - chosen for their off-centre music policies or out and out originality.

First up, is the Alan Awareness and Love Allnighters 'Alaween'. For starters, it's for charity, secondly, the legends from Them are involved and thirdly, Mr Luke Vibert (aka Wagon Christ or Plug) is headlining - you know that his glitchy techno breakcore is perfect for the witching hour.

We are tipping Sud Electronic as one to head for for superior beats. Tonight Smallville label bosses Julius Steinhoff and Lawrence/Sten debut for the first time - this is also Sud's first Halloween party for 5 years.

The End of The World Halloween Party is an inspired choice at Village Underground, where you can celebrate your last night on Earth before the killer zombies close in to devour you.

Sofrito are holding a tropical soundclash to honour the Night of the dead with Hugo Mendez and Miles Cleret of Soundclash and Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes are holding an out of season Zombie Beach Party.

There is an overwhelming amount of choice in the capital this Halloween - but whatever you do, dress up and have fun.
