Bike Sharing Is Coming To London

I like to ride my bicycle...

London's bike-sharing program is scheduled to open on July 30th with 6000 bicycles available at 400 docking stations around the city.

Boris Johnson said: "I have long been of the opinion that a cyclised city is a civilised city. I hope a central London cycle hire scheme will inspire Londoners as a whole to get on their bikes and give cycling a go."

The prices will range from a pound for a one day hire, five pounds for a week or £45 for a whole year.

Similar schemes in Paris, Copenhagen, Barcelona and Brussels have all proved hugely successful.

You can sign up for a year to the cycling frontier here.
