This weekend the Guardian Hay Festival comes to the capital with a programme of discussions exploring the literature of London.

As we have come to expect from the infamous event, their rosta packs an impressive a literary punch. Their special festival programme of conversations, lectures and perfomances features appearances from Martin Amis, Hanif Kureishi, Fay Weldon and Will Self among others.

Highlights of the weekend include Hanif Kureishi discussing his London based novel The Buddha Of Surburbia, Will Self chats to Guardian literary editor Claire Armistead about prize-winning The Butt, Liver and Other Stories and Martin Amis discusses his London-based works The Information, London Fields and Money.

The event will occur at King's Place. Tickets for each talk are only £4.50.
