East Side Presented by Lasermagnetic
Thursday 28th April
East London disco crew Lasermagnetic showcase American night life culture of the late 70s & 80s with their afterparty tonight. They are flying in two of the hottest US jocks from Chicago and Los Angeles: Dj’s Rahaan and Zernell. Both DJ’s were very close to the late Ron Hardy, who is credited for the rise of house music. House originated during his residency in the 80s at Chicago’s legendary Music Box Club. He continued the ethos of ‘Chicago’ by mixing up vintage disco and house music. They pay homage to the sounds at tonight's party.
Mixcloud Present Chrissy Murderbot
Friday 29th April
Chicago's Chrissy Murderbot is one of the cats behind the the juke explosion: he's been bringing it to London in a big way. His trademark juke 'Bussin Down' has been making waves and moving feet. He is also the devoted DJ who vowed to make a mixtape a week for a whole year, with each mix representing a specific genre or scene. His series can be checked here. Tonight, courtesy of Mixcloud, he takes you on a journey through the sessions. 'Epic' doesn't even do this justice.
Black Atlantic Present Modeselektor
Saturday 30th April
Black Atlantic are always bringing the heat. Tonight they team up with Berlin producers Modeselektor for a secret Modeselektion warehouse party. The line-up is chunky as hell, with DMZ's Mala, Monkeytown's Siriusmo, Doc Daneeka, Benjamin Damage and their very own Patchwork Pirates. Get your tickets like, right now.
