This Saturday, tech-funk merchants Lot49 touch down at Aldgate's Hub Club for the very first time with Lee Coombs at the helm launching his first album for the label - 'Light and Dark'.

For over a decade Lee Coombs has been one of breakbeats frontrunners. In '98 he was snapped up by Finger Lickin'. His 2001 album 'Future Sound Of Retro' announced his arrival onto the world stage. Hotly tipped by Pete Tong and Paul Oakenfold, his status as a much in demand artists quickly developed - leading to remixes for Lamb, Moby, Oakenfold and New Order.

His 2004 album 'Breakfast Of Champions' showcased an evolution in his sound, injecting breaks with elements of house, techno and electro. He soon joined forces with fellow tech-funk innovators Meat Katie, Dylan Rhymes and Elite Force on the Lot49 imprint - and tonight marks his first artist album for the label - work that he regards as his most ambitious yet.

Residents Meat Katie, Dylan Rhymes and Kid Blue join Coombs on the decks at Hub tonight, with Lot49 regulars Caninesounds and Damo Bullet providing heavy duty back up.

Lot49 Presents Lee Coombs' 'Light and Dark' Album Launch Party is on Saturday 10th October.
