'Beginning Of The End' is a smasher. Unfortunately, it's also fake.
Ed Banger - obviously brilliant. Justice - French electro Gods on the label - also brilliant. You know Justice: the French duo Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Auge. The accidental heroes with the excellent production skills and an award-winning debut album with a symbol for a name.
Today they apparently released their new track to music sites and blogs everywhere. The track has all the Justice hallmarks: slow, steady warm-up, sleekly produced heavyness, a progression into full throttle, grinding electro. It's classic Justice...or is it?
Despite sounding decidedly French, it's actually not the work of Justice. A hacker sent it to all and sundry via a fake Ed Banger email address, prompting excitement from all quarters. The message I imagine they are trying to impart, is that it's not hard to sound like Justice. Musos? Discuss.
