It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that any Londoner inclined towards good music, festivals and left of centre thinking will know about the magic of One Taste. The collective who made their name by helping to launch some of the most innovative UK talent - Scroobius Pip, Portico Quartet and Newton Faulkner among them - are having a big old party in the shape of One Taste Festival 2009 this Sunday 8th November at The Bedford in Balham.
The line-up looks big and varied enough to satisfy even the most culturally ravenous; incorporating as it does elements of art, philosophy, a few workshops, loads of poetry, a handful of DJs, and loads and loads of brilliant live music.
The latest addition to the already bristling bill is One Taste acoustic folk veteran Newton Faulkner. Fresh off the back of his tour promoting second album 'Rebuilt By Humans', he joins the festival for a one-off acoustic gig.
Other highlights include The Correspondents, Oi Va Voi's lead singer Bridgette Amofah, soulful London troubadour Jono McCleery and fantastic poets Kate Tempest and Inua Ellums.
One Taste Festival 2009 is at The Bedford this Sunday 8th November, starting at 1pm. It's £10 in advance or £12 on the door. Under 16s are free and can attend between 1pm and 7pm.
