On & On & On, Leisure System and Disco: Editor's Choice - Clubbing

14 October, 2011
by: Lowri

Every Friday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Lowri Clarke selects her top three club nights.

Friday 21st October

Fly By Night
A new party at The Nest which actually looks pretty amazing. Disco dons Toby Tobias and Pete Herbert have joined forces (which is reason enough to go) and invited Scottish edit expert and dancefloor smasher The Revenge down for the opening night. Don't miss it.

Saturday 22nd October

Leisure System

To celebrate the birth of Leisure System Records, they bring some serious heat over from North America. This line-up is immense, headed up by Montreal rising house star Jacques Greene. Lazer Sword defy definition - the best the music press have come up with to describe their hyphy, techno-laden glitchiness is 'future blap'. Go figure. And then dance. Machinedrum has just released one 2011s hottest albums - Room(s) on Planet Mu. Fresh footwork, club hop and dope drops. Ain't no doubt - Corsica gonna burn.

Friday 21st - Monday 24th October
On & On & On
Fabric's birthday is never a reserved affair, and, as has become traditional, the clubbers club is setting aside the entire weekend to celebrate its 12th anniversary. The Saturday and Sunday will see the house A-List behind the decks over the two days until 5am Monday morning. Maya Jane Coles, Moodyman, Lee Foss, Margaret Dygas and of course Ricardo Villalobos will all be making appearances. Best take the Monday off work. And maybe the Tuesday and Wednesday while you're there.
