Vegas-style clubbing in London? Step in Proud2....

The Proud Group have added recently closed superclub Matter to their fleet of venues.

They are planning a complete redesign and renovation of the industrial-style interiors, with the emphasis on visual spectacle and 'experience clubbing'. The buzzwords are decadence and glamour as they gear up for circus-themed productions and massive, eclectic club nights.

The design team are reportedly channelling Vegas and LA – décor includes a Leopard Lounge replete with golden leopards, an opulent Gentleman's Club and a luxurious 'Op Art' Balcony.

Alex Proud said: ‘I am thrilled to extend the Proud brand to a venue that offers clubbers something completely different. Proud2 will bring Vegas-style clubbing to London with a combination of theatrical shows, live music and big name DJs in a club that not only aims to serve but take care of our customers. There won’t be any experience like this in the city.'

And the ideas sound wonderful – if they pull it off it will be an amazing (if peskily located) addition to the London club cityscape. No doubt mindful of Matter's fate last year, Proud will be running their own buses to various destinations for £2 a ticket until 6am.

On Saturday 5th March, they open to the public with club night Bacchus. All Proud2 line-ups and special guests are to be revealed within the next two weeks.
