Quantize, Bare Noize and Slutty Fringe: Editor's Choice, Clubbing

18 July, 2011
by: Lowri

Every Monday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Lowri Clarke selects her top three club nights.

Friday 22nd July
Quantize presents Oliver Deutschmann
Quantize turn the page and begin a new chapter. They move in to the Basing House - Shoreditch's new late night, Funktion one equipped venue. Every two months they'll be bringing inspiring guests to fly the house and techno flag they've been hoisting for a while now. Tonight it's Panormama Bar resident Oliver Deutschmann who'll be spinning the magical web of beats. Support from Natalie Coleman, Chris Stanford and Kindlich. Lush.

Saturday 23rd July
Slutty Fringe presents...
Gentleman bloggers Slutty Fringe return with another fresh line-up bringing disco, electronic noise, dancehall, smudgy house, tropical beats, signals from the other side and other bandwagonesque sounds. Playing live is the hotly tipped Toronto duo Bonjay: Alanna on the mic and Pho on the beats, they serve high-energy dancehall innovated tunes, with indie sentiments and R&B hooks.

Saturday 23rd July
The Playground present Borgore, Flux Pavillion and Bare Noize
A comedy dubstep line-up from The Playground. When I say comedy, I mean comically huge tunes (did someone say brostep?) Borgore is a mentalist who gets on the mic and abuses security guards. Bare Noize does exactly what he says on the tin and Flux Pavilion is an absolute badman. The bass will be enormous, the crowd will probably mosh. This is no bad thing in my eyes but just thought you should know
