The Grammy Award winning trio from Queens, New York are headlining the most excellent Bloc festival this year.

Renowned for their devotion to brilliant music, Bloc's tastes cut a stealthy line through the best dubstep, techno, IDM and hip hop artists the world has to offer. They consistently book established greats alongside new talent.

'We've been wanting to book them for years' said Alex - one of the festival organisers. 'And this year the time was right - we've been really good boys and this is what Santa brought us.'

The festival upscaled from a 3000 to 6000 capacity last year, moving from Great Yarmouth Pontins to Butlin's mega-resort in Minehead. This will be their fourth sell out year.

Last year it was Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Afrika Bambaata and Future Sound Of London who flew the flag for the old school, while Warp crooner Jamie Lidell and techno experimentors Frequency 7 provided the more contemporary flavours.

This year, the line-up, as usual, is pant-wettingly good. Salt N Pepa - (queens of everyones tape collection surely) play a rare show (and even rarer to have the ladies playing at a Butlins! Well done Bloc!) UK rapper Roots Manuva makes his debut plus Autechre lay waste to proceedings with a live IDM feast. These guys are mind-blowing.

Augmenting that already flaming collection are too many dubstep, techno and IDM greats to mention. A few treats include Adam Beyer, Luke Slater, Joker, techno grandaddy Derrick May and the simply awesome producer de jour Nathan Fake. There are plenty more artists still to be announced but this is enough to convince us that we simply must go to Bloc 2010.

To book tickets, see the complete line-up, cast your eye over the luxury apartments and generally get excited, visit their website.
