Standon Calling organiser Alex Trenchard is sentenced to 30 months but the show must go on.

Standon Calling organiser Alex Trenchard was sentenced to a 30-month custodial sentence yesterday after pleading guilty to theft and fraud by false representation.
He worked for supermarket giant Tesco in 2002 and is reported to have used a company credit card to cover the costs of the festival. All money taken was repaid to his former employer Tesco.
Festival goers however will be happy to hear that the festival is still going ahead. Graham MacVoy, Festival Director, has issued the following statement:
“I know that Alex very much regrets his actions and feels great remorse for the distress he has caused, but the festival is about more than just one person. The team have been preparing for this year’s festival and Alex’s absence for a number of months. Standon Calling 2010 was a resounding success and we are building on that.”
This year's festival theme will be announced on Monday.
