Tief, Skrillex and TEED: Editor's Choice - Clubbing

10 February, 2012
by: Lowri

Every Friday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Lowri Clarke selects her top three club nights.

Thursday 16th February
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs
Looking a bit like nu-rave wizards, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs play marginally ridiculous electro music with a knowing wink and smile. Signed to the electro-trendy Greco-Roman label, the band's sound showcases nods to Hot Chip's Super Nintendo-sounding tomfoolery and Calvin Harris' knack for potentially chart friendly tunes.

Saturday 18th February
Tief
Tief have absolutely solidified their reputation for exemplary parties with their forward thinking line-ups - and this one ticks all the boxes.

Tonight they bring Prosumer - Panorama Bar resident and house music connoisseurs favourite. Pampa record's Axel Boman and had of duo FCL - San Soda - also fly in to represent their country's music and club scenes, as well as friends of the family; Aus Music's Midland, Dalston Superstore's Dan Beaumont and the up-and-coming Zoo Look in what is sure to be an incredible and cutting edge night of house music.

Saturday 18th February
Skrillex and Friends with SebastiAn
Dubstep wunderkind Skrillex brings his Grey Daze Tour to Brixton Academy. And the after-show party to the Electric Brixton!

The special guest has been revealed as the one and only SebastiAn. Ed Banger favourite, producer of the highest order, king of the electro-jack. He's joined by Zane Lowe, Alvin Risk and of course man of the moment Skrillex.

You can expect moshing, an absolutely mental crowd and the most high octane music you can imagine. (We reviewed his Secret gig at The Nest earlier this year.)
