Dance Club at Sadler's Wells

It is events like the Dance Club down at Sadler's Wells that make London one of the best cities in the world.  Where else can you rock up on a Friday night, have a giggle with your girlies or guys at how terrible (or terrific) you are at dance routines, and then stay put whilst the room around you turns into a club?! If you are a person that enjoys collectively answering 'Yeeeeaaaaah' when questioned 'Are you having a good time?', then this is the place for you.  If not, maybe just avoid!

Beginners give it a go in the first session and are welcome, if they wish, to join in with the intermediate class immediately after.  By 9, the classes are done and the club night begins.

Last week was Street dance – the dance that is all about style.  If you can grind dem hips, click yo' fingers, and pop those shoulders, you're sorted!  No windmilling or head-spinning necessary.  Put it all together, add a few spins and you'll be hollering at them to bring on the tunes so you can show off your new skills.

The best thing is, your peers aren't there to judge, and there isn't a mirror in sight to hide away from.  The instructor is encouraging and entertaining and everyone there just wants a good time.

Dance Club is the answer to the monotony of Friday nights, and it's an inspired idea for a date with difference (if your date in question is not open minded, don't blame us!)  If you don't want to feel out of place then wear trainers and joggers for the classes and take a change of dress (which can be stored in the free cloakroom) for the club.  Each month is a different dance, so check out what's coming up on the website and go bust a groove!
