venue All Star Lanes Brick Lane
Tuesday, 10 August
I can't believe I haven't been here before! Stopped by last night to catch the Red Sox v Yankees game on ESPN America (not too many places around Brick Lane showing the game...) and absolutely loved the kitschy American feel. A couple of burgers and milkshakes to the wind and we decided it'd be a good idea to hop on one of their bowling lanes. Excellent venue for a full night out.
venue Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum
Wednesday, 10 February
Definitely one of the best museums in London, without a doubt. You can spend days here and not see everything. One of the best rooms is the hall of casts which houses true to life casts of famous historical monuments from around the world - truly impressive and definitely worth a look.

I'm pretty sure this is going to be the hottest band of 2010. First the UK, then Berlin, then the world.
venue Covent Garden
Monday, 07 December
Despite inciting in visitors hatred for tourists, families with more than two small children and people who stop in the middle of a crowded walkway for no reason, Covent Garden is usually a surprisingly wonderful place to visit. If you're looking for gifts, especially for people outside London, it's got just about everything between shops such as Octopus and David and Golith and the market stalls (note: mostly tat and AVOID during peak times). You're also well situated for the London Transport Museum, good food and fantastic people watching.
What's most enjoyable about Covent Garden are the buskers who are always top notch (and during the holiday season you never know what famous names might show up). Keep an eye and ear out for the busker who often occupies the south-west corner of the plaza and sounds exactly like James Taylor. Brilliant.

How disappointing this gig is sold out, I've heard she's absolutely amazing live. What a voice.

Woo hoo, a Spoonfed party! It's going to be an amazing night and we're really looking forward to meeting everyone. Make sure you come say hi!

Could there be a comedy event more up my alley? This looks so brilliant.
venue The Stags Head
Thursday, 13 August
Possibly the new Spoonfed team hangout? Its massive garden is definitely the place to be during nice weather and it provides easy access to the great East London art, gigs and events nearby. We've all become big Stags Head fans, even if their titular punctuation is questionable. If you see any of us Spooners while in the Stags Head, come say hi!
venue Southwark Cathedral
Thursday, 13 August
There isn't a ton to say about the Southwark Cathedral but it's worth a walk through if you happen to be in the area. They've recently done some renovations and left a viewing platform that looks down through the foundations to a Roman road over 1000 years old that runs below.
event Seagull Project
Tuesday, 14 July
The Factory's Seagull is an absolutely brilliant bit of theatre here - I attended one of their previous nights and I highly recommend going to this show if you have the chance. You can read my full review of the show here: http://www.spoonfed.co.uk/spooners/meg-2456/the-factory-theatre-presents-the-seagull-at-the-pleasance-theatre-1120/
