Dancefloor Bombs

The Spoonfed DJ desk's weekly pick of the tunes that have us wearing a hole in the dancefloor with our running man.

Tom picks: High Rankin - Flowers On Your Rave (Suicide Dub 2010)

One of our favourite producers, High Rankin, has delivered this monster of jungle-tinged ravey goodness. It nods towards several classic drum n bass tunes but all done in a slowed down epic style. High Rankin knows a thing or two about great bass nises and this doesn't disappoint. I expect this to be destroying subs across the land this weekend.

Chloe picks: Gessaffelstein - Variations (Turbo 2010)
After a night of grime that for some reason I just wasn't feeling, all I've been able to think about today is how much I need techno in my life. Such is why I have reverted back to my old flame like a tired moth to a chintzy household lamp. Some people like to go easy when hungover, I however enjoy a good 'sit down rave' to clear my head, and that is what this track helped me to do.

Lachie picks: Nosia - Alpha Centauri (Division 2010)
At the D&B Arena awards this year Noisia won Best Producer and this track demonstrates exactly why. Forged at house tempo in the bass warped minds of one of dnb's heaviest producers, the result skilfully builds from gentle dubstep rhythms into a relentless attack of four to the floor madness. How Nosia manage to produce such solid beats is beyond me, but my god it's good!

Datsik & Excision's dubstep mix on the b side retains the essence of the original but with added crunky synth work which crashes back and forth like a heavyweight boxing match.
