Dancefloor Bombs

Every week the knowledgeable folk behind the Spoonfed clubbing desk give their pick of the tunes that will be tearing up dancefloors this weekend.

Tom picks: FaltyDL - Hip Love (RAMP 2011)

The new FaltyDL album out on Planet Mu sometime very soon is very good, check Netti's excellent review HERE. This single on Ramp has a Jamie XX remix on the flip that will probably be what gets played a lot, but I love the original and it's post-garage slinkyness.

Alya picks: Nicki Minaj ft Kanye West – Blazin (Young Money 2011)

Fact: When you combine arguably two of the hottest lyrical G’s in the game right now, you end up with a killer track. Repaying the favour for his hit ‘Monster’ featuring Nicki the two reunite to bring life to an arguably weak beat, leaving us feeling blazin’. With quick fire wit in each line and a swag that will lend itself to even those that have never heard of Kanye West, this will find you bouncing back and forth on dance floors world wide, lost in a melodic, whimsical world.

Netti picks: Icicle ft SP:MC - Dreadnaught (Shogun Audio 2011)

This is allegedly the opening track on Icicle's debut album, due for release end of the month. The Dreadnaught begins intensly tapping, growing until it drops into one of Icicle's notorious heavyweight basslines. SP:MC keeps it cool with his easy chat on top, rolling out the tale of the Dreadnaught- futurebound, destination unknown. Manga meets drum n bass in this official video. Thirty hertz sub frequencies to a chest pounded by this beat will definitely '..increase your pulse rate'.
