Dancefloor Bombs

The DJ desk once again furnishes you with some Friday dancefloor bangers to get you warmed up for the PARTY.

Lowri picks: Chrissy Murderbot and DJ Spinn 'Bussin Down' Chrissy Murderbot - "Bussin' Down" EP (ZIQ293) by chrissymurderbot

In honour of the Chicago footwork explosion here in London town, I give you mutant juke master Chissy Murderbot with his first single for Planet Mu.  'Bussin Down' features Chicago footwork supremo DJ Spinn, bringing his high speed jazz funk to make you move those feet.

Tom picks: Todd Terje - Ragysh (Running Back) Todd terje - ragysh by j0n

If you've ever wondered what dancing in an underwater club full of coloured bubbles would sound like (and Lord knows I have) then this is probably your answer. It documents the journey of a solitary synth hook as it bounces its way through life, setting off nervously against a backdrop of sparse drum patterns but growing in confidence every minute until we eventually find it sliding, arms in the air, down a symphonic rainbow into a pool of happiness, splashing the dancefloor with drops of joy.

Alya picks: XO Man ft Jade Dragon, Troy Glasgow and DJ J Den – Red Rum REDRUM Feat. Jade Dragon, XO Man, Troy Glasgow, DJ J-Den by jdenproductions

Customary of XO Man’s music the bass is dirty, and so are the lyrics. The fact that he is 6ft ten with a curly moustache is not, (surprise, surprise) the only thing that will grab your attention. Galloping gives way to a catchy chorus and cameos from some talented MCs. This is a track you can’t help but grind away to. If only that gangster within you that comes out when you listen to it stuck around once the bass fades away.
