Tom picks: Something Special - Miguel Campbell

If you haven't heard this tune somewhere over the last couple of weeks, where have you been hiding? The best thing about this slice of Hot Creations sleaze is its versatility - I've heard it played at disco nights, deep house nights, tech house nights, you could probably play it at my niece's 6th birthday party and it'd take the roof off. There's nothing beefy about it, in fact its straight up lipstick house, but don't forget rule number one of the dancefloor: if the girls are dancing the boys will follow.

Joj picks: Ed:it - Sphere (Eleven8 Remix) Ed:it - Sphere (Eleven8 Remix) - OUT NOW by Flexout Audio

The final track from their collaborated Coexistence EP sees an Eleven8 remix slam the breaks on Ed:its drum and bass track, Sphere. Once an uptempo liquid tune all ambient and techy in tone, the re-edit transforms it into a subterranean dubstep stomper.

The chanted vocals take on a darker personality against the altered sonic backdrop. Abstract percussions fidget between cavernous metallic resonance while a deep, foreboding bass line shifts chromatically underneath.

Lowri picks: Tric Trac - Worthy and Eats Everything Eats Everything & Worthy - Tric Trac OUT TODAY Weds 14th Sept by EatsEverything

Dirtybird's latest release bounces like a rubber ball on elastic. The drop is huge and it has that bubbling bassline energy ideal for peak time. This is Justin Martin's dancefloor bomb really, revealed to me in the interview we did earlier this week. "It's been killing it – no matter where I play it there’s hands in the air" he says...

Danny picks: Swing Those Hips - XXXY Swing those hips by xxxy

Hot from causing a brock-a-thon at XOYO’s 1st birthday bash last weekend, we were reminded of XXXY’s cracking release on Cargo from a few weeks back. The house stabs give way to the filtered bass reminiscent of Mr Oizo that will have your head flopping like Flat Eric back in ‘99. A wonky garage number that will get you shaking it like a Polaroid picture that’s been set on fire. Do what it says in the tin.
