Six in the morning type shit.

Lowri picks: Stagga - Dope Super Fly Pimp DOPE SUPER FLY PIMP by STAGGAMUFFIN

Cardiff mentalist Stagga has a particular sound - it's rude, it's dark but also has an incredible clean and slick veneer. This is what makes you feel like a dope super fly pimp. The extreme high class of his productionsmeans they sit well in a convertible, or in a hotel honeymoon suite. It's got the bounce, it's got the ghostly lazers, it's laid back and superfly and as the sample so wisely notes, is definitely '6 in the morning type shit.' Got that?

Tom picks: Kola Kube - Everybody Needs Somebody Sometimes Kola Kube - Everybody Needs Somebody (Faze Action Mix) by Joey Negro

Kola Kube are back on Joey Negro's Z Records with another updated disco classic. This time they've taken on Ann Margaret's 'Everybody Needs Somebody Sometimes', cranking the tempo up and giving it to the Faze Action boys to work their magic with. The guitar lick and bass combo are straight out of the Chic songbook, with a generous helping of piano for good measure. Big outdoor party anthem this summer – should we ever see it.
