Seun Kuti - You Can Run (FaltyDL remix)

Can anyone remember what a hot sunny day feels like? Is it normal to be using an electric blanket in July? Sometimes only music can warm the soul and there's nothing like a bit of afrobeat to remind you of sunnier climes. Here FaltyDL manages to put his own stamp on Seun Kuti and Egypt 80's 'You Can Run', adding an ambient groove and yet retaining all the percussive energy of the original. Hot.

Mosca – Murderous

Mosca's cracked it with this one. An EP released on Hypercolour, vocals by Ben Westbeech, and Mosca's swinging, jumpy beats all adds up to one huge piece of dancefloor sex. Girls will go mad for it, boys will love the fact that girls go mad for it, everyone's a winner.

Celsius – Must Be You

There's nothing anyone can do about a bassline like this, just batten down the hatches and hold the furniture down. Probably one of the best, most jackin-est beasts of a record I've heard all year. This sits perfectly on the crossover between house and garage, getting the best of both worlds without diluting either.
