Rave is king.

Lowri picks: Zedd - Slam The Door Slam The Door (Original Mix) by Zedd by HypeWAV

'Don't Slam The Fucking Door'. Nothing subtle about this seismic wedge of electro house from 22 year old Zedd. It hits you like a plane load of napalm. The bassline is (almost) psy trance in its galloping advance. And yes it's got cheesy hands in the air twinkly bits but the kick is absolutely undeniable, and when it hits - and it keeps on hitting - everybody in the room will be in the air.

Tom picks: Nicholas - Soul System WAX CLASSIC 2 - B1.Soul System aka Nicholas "Soul System" by SKYLAX

The past year has seen Italian native Nicholas go from underground Soundcloud sensation to bona fide DJ/producer extraordinaire, with releases on some of the most respected labels on the scene, collaborations with house royalty and some solid DJ appearances around the capital. This slice of 80s analogue inspired house is just pure gold. It's got danceability, the production is layered and air tight, and it's got the increasingly recognizable 'Nicholas' stamp on it. If 2011 was a big year for him, 2012 is looking likely to outdo it.
