Friday feelings.

Lowri picks: Lazer Sword - Klock
KLOCK (SNIPPET) by LAZER SWORD
This precise, sci-fi belter is the B-side of the teaser for Lazer Sword's upcoming album. Hollowed out and ominous, you can imagine this sinister, percussive road trip going down well on the Plastic People floor. It definitely doffs its hat to the future garage tag, and then the moody synth line slides you down a knife edge, before dropping you into an apocalyptic, pressurised breakdown. This is high tech future bass at it's most slickly mutated. (Listen to the whole thing here.)
Tom picks: Cole Medina - Gangsta Boogie Disco
Gansta Boogie Disco by cole medina
This week I'm taking it down a notch – you can't just have straight up bangers all the time, we all need a bit of chill time. And who better to rely on for your soul soothing boogie gems than LA's master of cool, Cole Medina. Far from being just another cut and paste edit of an old tune, this is an original composition from Mr Medina, joining the likes of Ilija Rudman and First Touch in the thriving nu-boogie scene.
Emma picks: Homework - I'm into this (Andre Crom and Martin Dawson remix)
Homework - I´m Into This *Andre Crom & Martin Dawson Remix* by NoMusic NoLove
Is there anyone with cooler vocals than Moodymann? He could be talking about taking out the trash and it would still be the sexiest thing you've ever heard. Featuring on Hudson – the awesome disco/deep house EP released by Homework this summer – 'I'm Into This' samples a rare interview the Detroit legend gave for for the Red Bull Music Academy in March, affirming his passion for his music and drum machines in typically candid style:
"Lotta people, after work, you gotta go home, you take a bath, lotta people, you go home, you fuck your wife, lotta people, you go home, you cut your grass. I go home and I fuck that motherfucker MPC all fucking night, you understand?" There are a couple of good remixes of the track knocking about but the Andre Crom and Martin Dawson version has the best groove. YEEEEEEEAH.
