Tom picks: Gregory Porter - 1960 What (Opolopo remix)
Gregory Porter - 1960 What? (Opolopo Kick & Bass Rerub) by opolopo MUTANTS OUT NOW!
I predict (and hope) this will be a sign of things to come this summer. House rekindling its friendship with jazz, with real vocalists, real instruments - proper music. It'll mean that all those old Masters at Work records and Jazzanova remixes you've been picking up for a quid on discogs will suddenly rocket up in price by 500%, but it's a small price to pay for such great tunes. Gregory Porter is an incredible jazz vocalist in his own right, with his recent London gigs all selling out within a few days. Well worth keeping your ears out for.
Lowri picks: Culprate - Ono
Ono by Culprate
Can not get enough of this tune. Culprate throwing the lazers around. If the wind changed while this was playing on a huge system there would be some permanently ugly ravers walking the streets.
Emma picks: Sister S - Living Ecstacy (Norinton remix)
Sister S - Living Ecstasy (Norinton Remix) by kaliba1980
Just when you think you've heard every possible interpretation of a tune something like this comes along and reminds you there's a million more. Lovely blissed out remix of Sister Sledge's Thinking of You. Listen and feel all your troubles melt away.
