I never thought I'd give 5 /5 to Backstreet Boys, I'm not a hardcore fan but due to my friends method of persuasion and confusion I found myself accompanying them to the "Unforgettable" tour. Well from library I have a few of the popular hits on compilation cd's, so I walked in with an open mind but also thinking "If they don't play "everybody", i'm want a refund."
From start to finish they were dancing like maniacs, thought their youth ha faded their enthusiasm remained and made every song enjoyable & unique with Rocky intergrations, Gorillaz backings and my favourite moment was when Nick Carter started playing the drums - wow he's not just good looks.
I have since then bought their "invincible" album - I don't care what anyone says, see them live and you'll see what I mean they are not a typical one hit wonder band lie "A1" or "V", however all these solo careers for each individual Backstreet Boy is debatable.

I originally heard them on the Jonathan Ross show, he is the guru of all things wacky and wonderful. They couldn't speak a word of English but loved England and the English landmarks.
So to my shock at Anime Day at Oxford Circus these crazy rockers were performing and they rocked the joint, I mean literally dvd's and cd's were being moved by the bass and everyone was feeling the music however messed up the English was. They even learned a new English word for a track "You Bastards" :) A great gig and it's was totally free, check out HMV & Zavvi for similar events.

If it were possible to deduct points I would! I saw them preform live maybe a few months before they disbanded (thank you lord) as a warm up act before Busted, Lemar & Ronan who were like singing gurus compared to Westlife. Yes EVEN BUSTED! Not only did they sit on stools the whole time moaning about makeup and hair gel they kept getting their words wrong...It's uptown girls not "lipton tea". I was shocked by the lack of effort and did i mention they were lipsyncing?! Yes they mimed the wrong words and I was subjected to vocal torture for the longest 45minutes of my life - uptown girl repeated over and over again. I'm sure Ronan was embarrassed too.

Ha the lead guy Marcus went to my uni, I heard rumors about him being in a band but hey he's mainstream and saw one of his songs on the tele - surprisingly there are really good. I didn't expect such a shy guy to have such a powerful voice - some different not your average indie jargon
