A Pinter Promenade: Editor's Choice - Theatre

11 November, 2011
by: Naima Khan

Every Friday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Naima Khan selects her top three plays.

From 15th November
How The World Began @ Arcola Theatre
A teacher finds herself in trouble when she makes a comment about creationism in rural Kansas. How The World Began is as much about resistance to outsiders as it is about the relationship between religion and science.

From 15th November
A Walk On Part @ Soho Theatre
Taking its comedy content from the diaries of former Labour MP Chris Mullins, A Walk On Part charts the ups and downs of a humble political career. It begins with the death of John Smith and ends on the day Gordon Brown left office.

From Wednesday 16th
The New World Order @ Shoreditch Town Hall
If Harold Pinter's slow burners aren't your thing, try this series of his short plays and sketches by Hydrocracker. Their promenade production turns you into more of a witness than an audience member.
