Flamenco, Chagos Islanders and Rocinante: Editor's Choice - Theatre

03 February, 2012
by: Naima Khan

Every Friday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Naima Khan selects her top three plays

From 7th February
Flamenco Festival @ Sadler's Wells
This annual festival features a host of solo dancers and companies who do all that cultural exchange stuff and open up Flamenco to new audiences, but ultimately they put on a damn good, usually highly emotive show where the live music is often as much of the production as the movement.

From 10th February
A Few Man Fridays @ Riverside Studios
The politics of the British role in evicting Chagos islanders to make room for a US military base forms the back drop to this very human tale of people in limbo in this Cardboard Citizens production.

From 10th February
Rocinante! Rocinante! @ The Bussey Building
Music and surrealism take centre stage in this imaginative exploration of portrayals of madness, taking inspiration from Don Quixote de la Mancha and Hamlet.
