Every Friday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Naima Khan selects her top three plays.

From 1st May
Tenet @ Gate Theatre
Greyscale Theatre, the company behind last year's Theatre Brothel are setting up camp at Gate Theatre where you can meet some highly intelligent, highly irritating characters who embody the most excessive tagline ever: “A true story about the revolutionary politics of telling the truth about truth as edited by someone who is not Julian Assange in any literal sense.”

From 2nd May
Brimstone and Treacle @ Arcola Theatre
Prepare to be seriously disturbed. By Rupert Friend no less. He plays the “ex-fiancé” of a severely disabled and brain-damaged woman whose parents welcome him into their home.

From 3rd May
Three Kingdoms @ Lyric Hammersmith
Simon Stephens takes his audience to new levels of darkness in this thriller about human trafficking that begins with a torso in the Thames.
