Every Friday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week ahead. Naima Khan selects her top three plays

From 9th January
The Art of Concealment @ Jermyn Street Theatre
Following Terence Rattigan's centenary year in 2011, the playwright's reputation still centres on the image of a flagrantly successful man lounging in his country pad bemoaning the rise of the Angry Young Men. But The Art of Concealment by Giles Cole attempts to dig a little deeper at Rattigan's relationship with this father, his responses to criticism and the cruelty he dished out almost as much as he received.
From 11th January
Execution of Justice @ Southwark Playhouse
Six months after he shoots and kills politician Harvey Milk, Dan White is acquitted of first degree murder and charged with voluntary manslaughter. This revival of Emily Mann's 1984 docudrama uses transcripts from the trial and interviews with the public to gauge the furore surrounding White's sentencing.
From 10th January
Frankland & Sons @ Camden People's Theatre
The father and son combo John and Tom Frankland have inherited a suitcase of letters from relatives long dead and together they riffle through uncovering family secrets and hidden truths. A sweet, personal look at individual identity and the family unit.
