Richie Hawtin's intelligent concept night returns to London. The M-nus mothership is back in town....

The minimal techno lover's wet dream that is M-nus descends on London once more this Bank Holiday weekend at the iconic Ministry of Sound. On Sunday 2nd May Berlin's expat techno don Richie Hawtin will bring his beats, blips and basslines to one of the capital's most mind-blowing sound systems. Joined by label mates Magda, Gaiser, Ambivalent and Barem, this one-off event will kick off at 11pm and ravage your eardrums till 9am - let's just say, you won't need an after-hours...
Last September Hawtin's conceptual showcase Contakt completely took the 5,000-capacity 02 Academy Brixton by storm. Anyone who missed it should definitely check these guys out on Sunday. This time it's more of a conventional club night rather than a collective performance, but it's still going to be big beyond all proportions.
Hawtin is by any standards a top international DJ and producer. He's been in the game for more than two decades and the M-nus label, which he founded in 1998, is one of electronic music's big successes. Cooler-than-cool Magda, meanwhile, is the female DJ du jour. She rocked Fabric last autumn and it's not for nothing that she'll be sharing top bill on Sunday. Detroit native Gaiser has established himself as Hawtin's go-to man, sure to deliver some dark, ambient beeps and blips. Supporting are Ambivalent and Argentina native Barem: both up-and-comers that have rallied a loyal fanbase in the past year.
At £25 a pop tickets are steep, but it's money well spent. If it's anything like the Brixton show, all the elements are guaranteed to align: killer sound, a killer crowd and most importantly, killer beats.
M_nus is at Ministry of Sound on 2 May from 11pm - 9pm. You can buy tickets here.
