Diplo releases his latest mixtape in collaboration with production maestro Switch, and British electro gem, La Roux.

May 26th sees the unveiling of Diplo's latest mixtape. This time round it's a collaboration between Major Lazer, the massively popular reggae-influenced joint venture involving Diplo and production buddy Switch, and everyone's favourite flame-haired synth-pop artist, La Roux. The release is thus aptly named 'Lazerproof' and what makes it even more exciting is, it's free!

Diplo has collaborated with the female acts, Santigold and M.I.A, in the past to make exclusive mixtapes. If you haven't heard 2004's 'Piracy Funds Terrorism, Vol. 1', then it's about time you got your hands on a copy. It's an astounding piece of work.

This latest creation is the result of a recent Major Lazer adventure to Jamaica, that involved capturing and remixing studio performances by Drake, Gucci Mane, Rusko and Amanda Blank. 'Lazerproof' will include tracks with crazy mashed up names such as 'In 4 the kill pon de skream' and 'I'm not your lemonade'.

The release handily coincides with the huge Mad Decent Soundsystem event taking place this bank holiday weekend at the Union Street Car Park, featuring performances from Mad Decent affiliated artists including Drop The Lime, Rusko, Joker, L-Vis 1990, Diplo himself and many more.

To get your hands on a free download of 'Lazerproof', simply navigate your way to the Mad Decent blog.
