Easter Clubbing: Plan your attack on the four days off...

There are many traditions surrounding Easter, and clubbing is one of them. It might be down to some corrupted folk memory of the ecstatic fertility rites practiced by our ancestors, or perhaps an instinctive animal joy at the passing of the colder months. On the other hand, er, maybe not. Maybe it's just because of all the bank holidays.
Some people want the companionship of 4000 sweaty bodies at times like this, and others are looking for a bit more of a niche. Have a look below: in our top Easter picks we've got all sorts covered.
Greg Wilson Free Easter Thursday Special

Electro funk pioneer Greg Wilson brings his new beloved Revox Tape Machine to North London gem The Horatia, for a free Easter Thursday knees up. He will be joined by the Horatia disco squad Dave 'la rave' Rose, Neil Thornton, gentleman bloggers The Boogie Cartel and friends.
Disco Bloodbath Easter Ball

Yet more disco action this easter, with the infamous Disco Bloodbath crew returning for the third year on the trot. Expect quintessential ecstacy disco, spaced out Italo, pop noir and sounds that go bump in the night.
Lovebox Present Warp

Good news! Lovebox, East London's best and most stylish festival, is taking over Village Underground for an Easter Weekend spectacular. The first of the three nights comes courtesy of Lovebox's kid brother 'Bang the Box' in partnership with the hugely iconic Warp Records. The line up is as interesting and impressive as one can expect from Warp, showcasing their roster of up and coming talent with Glaswegian producer Hudson Mohawk headlining the Shoreditch club, alongside Rustie, Kwes and a special appearance from Radio 1's Benji B. Lovers of dubstep, breaks and hip hop need look no further for their Easter Thursday entertainment.
Adventures In The Beetroot Field

Indoor festival AITBF returns as is traditional this Easter with another belter of a line-up. This has been happening for 6 years and is the archetypal summer festival warm-up. Tonight they keep it fresh with Riton and Mehdi appearing together as Carte Blanche, jagged melodists D/R/U/G/S playing live and room three hosted by So Bones. They are a tri-city (London, NYC, Bristol) celebration of everything that is great about overly sexed-up, chart-bothering, contemporary RnB with sets from Romy XX, Night Slug's Girl Unit, DJ Tearjerker and the collective's main protagonist Tri Angle.
Get Diverted Terrace Party
Friday 22th April
Get Diverted start their season of outdoor parties on the heated Dex Terrace - and not a moment to soon. Radio Slave joins the DJ who never sleeps Raymundo Rodriguez and residents for an all day session. Hot tubs, beats, BBQ, cocktails. It's got 'good time' written all over it.
Wearhouse Music All Night Long Launch
Friday 22nd April
Lee Mortimer has been described as "one of the UK's quickest rising stars in electronic music" and "a stomping producer" by various music journalists. This Saturday, his "'Wearhouse Music All Night Long" label takes over The Nest for a celebration of the excellent label's forthcoming compilation album. Supporting the man himself will be a selection of acts all of whom are involved in the label in some way. There's sets from the up-and-coming talent Tai, Warrior One and Kill Light.
Swamp 81
Saturday 23rd AprilTonight sees a very special Easter 'We Fear Silence' debut, with Loefah's Swamp 81 imprint taking control of Cable's bass-friendly main room rig, while Oneman's 502 Recordings get busy in the bar. The line up is ridiculous the question is whether or not you can handle it.
Counter Culture and Pelski Present Jackmode
Saturday 23rd April
Jackmode - one of Berlin's premier agencies - returns. Last year they began a continent wide onslaught of club nights - starting with two nights at the Counter Culture Project. Tonight they are back, with The Martin Brothers (Christian and Justin - of Dirtybird fame) heading things up. Their sizzling, bumping house will touch you in the right places. One hlaf of Zombie Disco Squad Nat Self is in to spin too. Room two is hosted by Berlin label Klasse Recordings and will feature some addictive grooves.
Krush with Konrad Black
Saturday 23rd April
Krush's launch went down a storm in March, with No Regular Play, Horse Meat Disco and Martinez. The waves they created are still reverberating. Tonight they bring Konrad Black and Michel Cleis to a very intimate venue. More special guests are still to be announced. Don't sleep on tickets. Get it in the diary. This is a very special party.
Kitsune Maison Party Meets Ponystep

The brilliantly eclectic French record and fashion label Kitsune bring back their Easter Sunday special, this time with East London bloggers Ponystep. Together they throw down a shiny, energetic discotheque, with Kitsune live bands Is Tropical, Housse de Racket and Logo in room one.
Jaded Easter Special

Jaded - the after-party that spawned a hundred others - was born at The End. After a brief hiatus they're back with a new era of Jaded mornings. For the first time in three years, the Jaded crew have two rooms to play with. The cosy, balconied bar room plus Cable's great main room. They have the space to showcase the labels, DJs and parties which have been getting them fired up. Tonight is the Easter Monday special - click attending on FB for the £8 list.
Junk Department Warehouse Party 1 @ Secret Location
Sunday 24th April
Junk throw down the first in a series of warehouse parties - continuing their trail-blazing, ask-questions later rave policy. Drawn together six years ago, the Junk family is comprised of DJs, producers, promoters, artists and ravers from Bristol and London - with some Sicilian and Eastern European spice thrown in. What unites them is the desire to put on some of the best parties in the world. April's debut features an interesting amalgamation of beat-bringers; Chicago house don DJ Sneak, French DJ and producer Shonky, rave ringleader and chief wrong 'un Tim Sheridan and king of the undead Shane Watcha. Deep and tech house DJ Craig Torrence completes the bill. This is just the main course - there will be pre and after parties to complete the Junk feast.
