Andrew Lawrence has been a much-loved figure on the circuit for a while now, and over the years has a built-up a superb niche in prolonged, linguistically intricate, intensely angry ranting. This he has mastered better than any other comic around at the moment, reciting word-perfect at an incredibly fast rate these very complicated speeches, which even if you don't find them funny are quite wonderful to behold. However, few are left unamused, as Lawrence is also one of the cleverest stand-ups around, demonstrating a mastery for biting wit and intelligent observations. This all fits in perfectly with his well-defined comic persona of a morbid, moody and endlessly frustrated figure, constantly analysing the copious difficulties and problems he's faced with every day.
