Musical comedy is having a bit of a 'moment' right now, and this duo are leading the pack, whipping everyone else into shape. Extremely twisted but oh so funny, no well-known pop-star or pop song is safe from a Frisky and Mannish 're-imagining" - case in point: Meatloaf's "I would Do Anything For Love" as sung by a five-year old: it takes on a whole new, creepy meaning. Genius.

If irreverent comedy is your thing, then you can find no better than Pappy's. With home-made props and a penchant for witty word-play that will please the nerds, this is good old school fun. Audience interaction is encouraged, and always makes for a unique, if slightly bonkers show. Have seen them twice and both times proceedings have culminated in a near-riot of laughter and madness. Brilliant.

Not only does it play host to some truly amazing exhibitions, the building itself is one of the most beautiful in London. The oft-photographed glass ceiling of the Great Court is worth the visit alone.
event An Englishman in New York - Photographs by Jason Bell
Monday, 27 September
Some beautiful photography, enhanced by notes from the photographer and personal insights from the subjects on their ties to Britain, and their love of the Big Apple. Try to see this at a quiet time of day; it's being exhibited in a tiny room, and getting to see the portraits without someone's head in the way is rather difficult at weekends!
