Every Friday our editors bring you their personal highlights of the week to come. Acting Comedy Editor Sarah Kendell selects her top three gigs.

All week
Doug Stanhope @ Leicester Square Theatre
Join this caustic comedy legend for a night of X-rated laughs served with a side of Jager shots. I caught his gig on Wednesday, and he really is just as whip-smart, brilliantly sarcastic and dowright hilarious as everyone says. One of the hottest comedy tickets of the summer - don't miss it (or take your mum).
August 8th & 9th
James Mullinger - An Hour of Killer Stand-Up @ The Roundhouse
Former GQ editor Mullinger has been a hotly-tipped name on the circuit for awhile now, with everyone from Michael McIntyre to the Guardian singing his praises. He's not going to Edinburgh Fringe this year, so you'd be well served to catch his new show in Camden for this special two-date run.
August 12th
Bright Club: Camden @ Bloomsbury Theatre
Bright Club is a 'thinking person's variety night' where experts are invited from the worlds of comedy, science, art, history, performance and anything else that will fit on a stage to discuss a certain subject at length. The theme of this special Camden Fringe edition of the show will be music.
