London's newest dance festival, L.E.D, announces even more acts to hit Victoria Park this August.
Just when you thought heavyweights Tiga, David Guetta, Leftfield and Queen of all things electronic, Goldfrapp were enough, London's newest electronic dance festival announces an array of new names for the August Bank Holiday Weekend in Victoria Park. If your saliva wasn't already dripping down your chin, you're soon to be sitting in a pool of it.
Italian eccentric Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, aka Bloody Beetroots - Death Crew 77, brings with him a hardcore American edge as well as European flair that make him a musical spectacle. Sharing in the newly announced glory is Professor Green of INXS 'I Need You Tonight' fame. A local man, he has managed to infiltrate the fickle mainstream, thanks in part to being Lily Allen's golden boy.
Drum and bass man Sub Focus continues his escalating roll by making it onto the line-up, and Digital Soundboy's chief, Shy FX, swings some jungle and summer vibes into the festival's mix. Boy Better Know aka brothers in Grime JME and Skepta, the chaps to blame for 'Too Many Man (We Need Some Girls In Here)', throw in their bass-infected sound and DJ Zinc commandeers the decks with his new 'crack-house' tinted tunes. The illustrious disco directors Hed Kandi are welcomed as exclusive hosts of the Hospitality Arena, adding deliciously dirty disco to L.E.D. Their residents are the capable Phil Faversham, Dean Rigg, Sarah Louise and Nathan Lee. Dean Oram treats the crowd to percussion with Annie on sax.
