Busaba Eathai - a stylish and good value Thai fast-food canteen
Where: 8-13 Bird Street, Marylebone, W1U 1BU, but has branches on Wardour St and Store St.
Cost: Mains £8 - £10
Best for: A quick and flavoursome Thai bite.

Amaranth – a very popular and no frills Thai cafe and noodle bar.
Where: 346-348 Garratt Lane, Earlsfield, SW18 4ES
Cost: £14 - £17 per person (set menus)
Best for: that slightly jam-packed noodle bar experience, but lively, good food, and inexpensive (BYO)

Nahm – the first Michelin starred Thai restaurant in Europe.
Where: The Halkin Hotel, Halkin Street, Belgravia, SW1X 7DJ
Cost: Main courses £11-£16.50. Set lunch £26 for 3 courses. Set dinner £55 for 3 courses
Best for: an expensive choice but probably the finest of Thailand’s gastronomy.

Rosa’s – a distinctly different Thai bistro
Where: 12 Hanbury Street, Brick Lane, E1 6QR
Cost: £5 - £8 for starter, £10 average for main courses.
Best for: Quirky, cheap and quite pink.

Bankok Boulevard – an atmospheric interior, and rounded Thai experience. Cheap too.
Where: 87 Lavender Hill, SW11 5QL
Cost: Starters £4.50, Mains c.£7
Best for: feeling as if you are eating Thai in Thailand.
