This is a great opportunity to wow Mum with your slightly more mature taste in London outings as well as treat her to a large bouquet of her favourite foliage. Located almost equidistant between Old Street and Bethnal Green, this Sunday market is a sweet-scented oasis at the heart of east London’s concrete jungle.

If Mother Dearest likes a good ol’ rummage, Greenwich Market is a superb place. There she can peruse a plethora of stalls hawking arts and crafts, collectables, homemade food and furnishings. Moreover if she enjoys a bit of Cash in the Attic, take her to the antiques hall on Stockwell Road which you can follow with a hearty riverside walk to really finish her off.

Specialising in arts and crafts, this market prides itself on being London’s ‘alternative’ market. By 'alternative' they mean the pottery is not Wedgewood. But it's in fact an apt choice for both the unconventional and traditional mums out there.

Fresh produce from British and European traders will give her the perfect opportunity to stock up on rare and organic cuts of meat, fish, vintage olive oils and handmade pies. With a large park, children’s playground, boating lake, ice rink and animal enclosure, this is also a great choice for a family day out.
