Having received much acclaim over its short but sweet lifetime, the production of Return closes with its ultimate show on Thursday 25th April.

When: Thursday 25th March 2010, 7.30pm
Where: The Grand Hall, Battersea Arts Centre, Lavender Hill, London, SW11 5TN
Tickets: £12 (£7 concs), BAC website or call 0207 223 2223
Don’t miss out on this poignant one-man performance exploring the significance of ‘home’ in the style of a spoken film which at times resembles a campfire tale. Noah, Return’s protagonist, leads the audience on a lyrical journey of self-discovery and self-affirmation when he returns to his hometown of Birmingham after years away in London.
This gem of independent performance art has a noticeable lack of visual aids that encourages the audience to engage themselves in and reflect upon the narrative more. Steve Camden aka Polarbear, author and lead, says, “I hope it stays with you a bit and makes you think about your relationship to where you're from. I would rather connect with you than impress you.”
It’s a compelling story about the emptiness created from a suspended piece of one’s identity yet exploring the ways with which one copes and adapts.
Return is part of The Big Story - a collection of work celebrating dozens of invented and retold stories at the BAC.
