Holed up in Camden? At your student union in King's Cross? We've got the best student activities in North London.

If your student digs, college campus, or university union are located in north London or you simply find yourself up in that part of town, Spoonfed have sent the student entertainment search hyper-local.

London is rather large and so we've split the student activities into bite-size chunks – well, that is what we do best after all. For students living, studying, working, wandering, sleeping, squatting, or clubbing in north London, here are a few activities to keep you entertained.

Eating

When it comes to being a student in London, the subject of eating can be a budget battle. So, we've had a think and narrowed down a few places in north London, taking into account the themes of cheap eats, budget restaurants, bring your own booze and all you can eat. Tastes good already.

Yum Cha in Chalk Farm Road is a Cantonese charm of a cheap restaurant. Melt-in-the-mouth dim sum in a relaxed but local atmosphere: perfect.

500 Restaurant in Upper Holloway is an Italian masterpiece for a small price. If you prefer Gnocchi to pasta à la Dave, then head over to this little piece of Italia.

Nights Out

Clubbing in north London is a pastime many students of this city will be familiar with, so we might not need to tell you where to go. We are still going to of course...

Proud Camden is a regular hotspot for cool kids and stylish students. Nestled into Camden Market, it hosts a lot of free and cheap nights filled with quality music and gigs to assuage your budgetary concerns.

Scala makes for a satisfying night on the tiles. Well laid out, roomy and showcasing some of London's best bands, DJ sets and acts makes for a universally-agreed good time.

Other Activities

We know students like to do more than just eat and go out so we've put together a few other activities for London's students to do.

Why not get some fresh air and exercise by exploring some of north London by foot? Walk London can help you through your paces with help planning your route and where you can go for a pit stop pint.

A Night Less Ordinary is the government scheme to get young things under 26 to see more theatre, and the Hampstead Theatre is one of the participating establishments. Students, you should not miss out on this as you get to see top-notch productions for as little as a fiver.

The O2 Academy Islington regularly hosts events, gigs and shows such as Rave Bingo and IloveThe90s at cheap to nothing prices.

The Union Chapel is another venue where you can see great bands and acts for free or for a couple of quid. Perfect for north London's students.
