Everyone's favourite anonymous graffiti artist (apart from Shepard Fairey) announces the launch of a new underground cinema. Tickets go on sale today.

Banksy – the anonymous Bristol-born graffiti artist – has announced that he and his team have built an underground cinema in The Old Vic Tunnels beneath Waterloo Station. Over the next two weeks, the site – formerly used for Punchdrunk's widely acclaimed performance piece Tunnel 228 – will be screening Banksy's new documentary – Exit Through the Gift Shop.
Screenings of the film take place at 6pm and 9.30pm daily in what is being referred to as “London's newest, darkest and dirtiest purpose-built cinema”. Facilities include a popcorn stall, lounge bar, and “stunning” temporary toilet facilities. The mind boggles.
Kevin Spacey, Artistic Director at The Old Vic, said today: “The Old Vic is thrilled to be developing plans for this incredible space, where exciting performances and creative collaborations will feature throughout the year. Inspired by the success of Tunnel 228 last year, this epic space beneath Waterloo Station will again host memorable experiences for visitors.”
