CultureLabel, Tate and Wallpaper Magazine team up to present unique design competititon.

Now here’s an opportunity that doesn’t come along every day. Super cool cultural product website CultureLabel.com have teamed up with Tate and Wallpaper Magazine to present, RELEASE, a uniquely exciting design competition.

Artists and designers are being encouraged to design a cultural product, inspired in some way by the Tate – capturing the experience of visitors, taking inspiration from the galleries’ architecture, or simply responding to works in the vast Tate collection.

Designs must fall into one of two categories – Up to £10 or Up to £100 – and should be fun, creative and instantly recognisable and memorable. The primary aim of this collaboration is to offer opportunities for designers and artists to have their work displayed and sold inside a major cultural institution. So you don’t need to be a big name player already; you just need a great idea.

You can see all the information and submit your design at www.culturelabel.com/release. RELEASE is open until 26th February 2010, so get your skates on!
