Hew Locke and Indra Khanna head things up for the 2012 instalment of Deptford X – the annual arts festival dedicated to celebrating the best the area has to offer. This year it's been brought forward to coincide with the 2012 Olympics and the programme – most of which is yet to be announced – includes something called the Deptford Trail, running from New Cross to Greenwich Park to enable people to get a dose of culture with the sport.
With galleries like APT, bearspace, Hatch Space, Core Gallery, Utrophia, the Old Police Station and The Agency – as well as a host of artists' studios – Deptford has one of the most thriving art scenes in the capital – something proved year after year by Deptford X.
